ERA Celebrates National Day

Singapore, 6 August 2014 – ERA celebrated the Nation’s 49th birthday together with 1,200 ERA teammates, salespersons, esteemed guests and industry partners on 5th August 2014. It was a grand celebration coupled with the annual 2014 ERA Career Advancement Day. As part of the festivities, all staff and guests in attendance came together to set a brand new Singapore record as witnessed and officiated by the Singapore Book of Records.

Themed ‘GenERAtion Superstar’, the event combined National Day festivities together with the prestigious award presentation for the company’s Top 100 Achievers. Led by renowned emcee Justin Misson, the crowd performed a mass cane dance ending off with a human formation of the National Flag using red and white umbrellas, as well as a recital of the National Pledge. This is the first ever attempt by the largest real estate company in Singapore and signifies the unity of all ERA teammates and industry partners as developers and co-broke friends come together to celebrate the Nation’s birthday. Through this event, ERA strengthens the community spirit of One People, One Nation, One Singapore, One ERA.

“It was fantastic to be able to let our hair down and mingle with our industry friends and partners. It really showed the community spirit and brought out the nostalgic warmth of National Day celebrations. We believe that holding the event at the stadium would add to the National Day atmosphere, rather than having another closed-door conference,” said Mr. Jack Chua, Chief Executive Officer of ERA Realty Network.

In Mr Chua’s opening speech, he commended all salespersons and industry friends on their successful collaborations that led to joint successes. He also took the opportunity to introduce the roll-out of several new initiatives that would benefit the public.

Enhanced i-ERA Application

Following extensive market and consumer research, ERA has gone a step further to enhance its i-ERA mobile application, an advanced technological tool that not only helps to improve the day-to-day capabilities of real estate professionals, but also aids consumers in the home searching, buying or selling process. The i-ERA application consists of five core features: Property Search, 24/7, Property Launches, Property Calculator and Career.

The Property Search tool readily located property listings in all market segments with search filters for more targeted results. Buyers or tenants are able to access ERA’s listing and browse through all properties available for sale or rent. There are five thousand listings in the current database.

The 24/7 tool features a user-friendly and unique property matching system. As the user inputs his criteria for the property he is searching for, the application automatically scans the system and notifies the user once a match is detected.

The Property Launches function highlights one of the core strengths of ERA in the area of New Project Marketing. Users are able to view and tap on each listing to access vital project information such as the project developer, expected Temporary Occupation Permit (TOP) date, number of units, tenure and the location. The application is mobile optimized with an email or call button located after the listing for users who wish to contact an ERA salesperson directly for more information.

The star of the show however, is the Property Calculator. Recent revisions to the Mortgage Servicing Ratio (MSR), Total Debt Servicing Ratio (TDSR) and Additional Buyer’s Stamp Duty (ABSD) have made financing a more complex matter for consumers. The Property Calculator is able to simplify this process as it effortlessly computes these figures.

ERA Consumer Guides

To better serve the consumer, ERA created a handy series of Consumer Guides that touch on various topics ranging from buying, selling, renting and leasing of private properties or HDB flats. These booklets provide a useful framework with financing guidelines, legal advice and house hunting tips.

In a recent brand survey conducted by Brand Alliance among 3,000 consumers aged 34 – 54, ERA emerged as the #1 Top Influential Brand in the Property Agency category. Other top brand winners include Singapore Airlines, DBS Bank, NTUC Fairprice and IKEA in their respective categories. In the property agency category, respondents were found to be influenced by recommendations when they are making decisions about property. These awards are testimony to the high quality of service from ERA and the successful collaborations with various industry partners, making ERA the leading trusted brand name in Singapore.
