Rivière: Immersed in Reverie at Singapore River

The nation’s past and future converge at the Singapore River – from its ancient beginnings as a fishing village where Sang Nila Utama first saw the mythical lion, to the towering skyscrapers that symbolise Singapore’s capacity for constant innovation.

Embracing dualities

Just like the Singapore River, Rivière juxtaposes the nation’s history with the future. The project pays homage to the rich heritage in this historic locale by restoring the three distinctive conservation warehouses within the project, refitting them to house a specialty grocer, dining options, wellness and lifestyle concepts, as well as the reception of the serviced apartments next to the project. Standing just as proudly beside the warehouses are two 36-storey residential towers, designed by renowned architecture visionaries SCDA, which will become an iconic part of the river’s skyline.

Rivière’s unique location allows you to enjoy the interplay between the tranquillity of nature and the vibrancy of urban life. Take in the lush greenery as you stroll along the gentle bends of the Singapore River. Just across the Robertson Bridge lie the charming cafés and pubs of Robertson Quay, where you can unwind over a cup of coffee, or chill out with your friends over a jug of craft beer.

Even as it sits in a secluded spot by the river, you can relish everything Singapore has to offer as a thriving metropolis. The colourful nightlife within the bars and bistros at Clarke Quay is only a ten-minute walk downriver. Meanwhile, the Central Business District and Orchard Road are merely ten minutes away by car.
For amenities closer to home, the project is buttressed by a myriad of shopping malls nearby. The nostalgic charms of Great World City are within a ten-minute walk away. With a short drive, you could either be enjoying the eclectic selections of eateries at Valley Point or browsing the hip boutiques at Clarke Quay Central.

Great World MRT & Havelock MRT stations on the Thomson-East Coast Line are only a five-minute walk away from Rivière. By 2021, Woodlands, Shenton Way, Marina Bay and Gardens by the Bay will be connected to the two stations. You can easily travel as far as Bayshore MRT station once this new MRT line is fully completed in 2023.

Embracing the future

Rivière holds vast potential to take on whatever the future brings. Despite new cooling measures introduced last year, ultra-high net worth investors the world over are still keen to sink their teeth into luxury properties in Singapore.

Since property prices have yet to reach their peak, buyers may want to take advantage of this window of opportunity to kick start an investment portfolio in high-end properties in prime locations, especially since land supplies are rare. Singapore has always been a safe haven for investments with the nation’s political stability, reliable infrastructure, transparent laws, and resilient currency.
