Sky Everton: At the Edge of Transformation

A whirlwind of redevelopment sweeps across Singapore as the nation ambitiously strives to create sustainable, inclusive communities by reinventing current spaces. At 50 Everton Road, Sky Everton is at the nexus of these exciting changes.

Greater Southern Waterfront

The Greater Southern Waterfront is right at the doorstep of Sky Everton. First announced in 2013 by the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA), the plan envisions Singapore’s southern coast as a top-notch waterfront destination.

A vibrant waterfront stretching uninterrupted for 30km is planned, with a green corridor linking Labrador Park to Gardens by the Bay. There are also planned connections to the Rail Corridor, linking the seaside attractions with the Southern Ridges and beyond. As the URA calls for new ideas to revamp the Pasir Panjang Power District, there are also plans to expand the Central Linear Park to connect Marina Boulevard with the Greater Southern Waterfront, so the new housing and business at the waterfront are better integrated with the Central Business District.

Plans for the Greater Southern Waterfront may be gearing up ahead of schedule. Port operator PSA Singapore relocated its staff and has been dismantling the cranes at the Tanjong Pagar Terminal since August 2017 – a decade before its lease expiry.

As anticipation for the Greater Southern Waterfront grows, so has the renewed interest in homes around Tanjong Pagar and Shenton Way. Notably, Wallich Residence at the Tanjong Pagar Centre saw four of its high-floor units change hands between 5 March and 12 March this year, with caveats lodged for three of those units. A one-bedder on the 51st floor sold for a record $2.38 million ($3,879 psf), while the other one-bedder on the 43rd floor went for $2.15 million ($3,504 psf). The third unit, a 1,098 sq ft three-bedder, fetched $3.53 million ($3,211 psf).

The Central Business District Breathes Anew

Sky Everton is a heartbeat away from a revitalised Central Business District (CBD). With the CBD Incentive Scheme and the Strategic Development Incentive Scheme, the gross plot ratio for current developments in the vicinity is increased, encouraging them to innovate new purposes for their spaces.

The URA also plans to inject more than 20,000 homes into the CBD, creating a wider selection of city residences. Soon, the epicentre of Singapore commerce will evolve into a brilliant locale, teeming with an influx of new businesses, hotels and residences.

SGH Campus – Singapore’s largest medical campus

Once completed, the 43-hectare Singapore General Hospital (SGH) Campus will provide holistic healthcare with seamless access to ground-breaking medical research and education. The campus builds on the latest approach to healthcare by creating an interlinked healthcare ecosystem connecting all patient care, education and research facilities.

In the next decade, the campus will see the addition of the new National Cancer Centre Singapore, Outram Community Hospital, National Dental Centre Singapore, as well as the first phase of the new SGH Complex. Along with a provision for innovative biomedical research, a bustling medical hub is only a stone’s throw away from Sky Everton.

Have it all at Sky Everton

As Singapore continues to reinvent itself, buzzing new commercial and industrial hubs will spring up across the island. Travelling to these thriving estates is a breeze from Sky Everton. Four MRT lines will serve the project: the Thomson-East Coast Line will include Outram Park MRT Interchange by 2021, in addition to the East West Line and North East Line, and Cantonment MRT station on Circle Line 6 opens in 2025. Drivers will rejoice as the Ayer Rajah Expressway is only a quick 5-minute drive away. Sky Everton appeared poised to be leading the fresh infusion of dynamism charging up the property development scene in Singapore.
